Whale sharks have thousands of tiny teeth, each less than 6mm,arranged in more than 300 rows but they feed by taking water into their mouths and straining the food through their gills. They can open their mouths to a huge width.

- Whale Sharks
The Ningaloo Reef Whale Shark season starts in March and runs throught till August.
Turtles can be seen all year round and can be seen nesting between November and January. Come in February or March and turtles are hatching at this time of year.
- Coral Spawn
Coral Spawn is seen during March, April and May.
- Manta Rays
Manta Rays can be seen all year round however, large numbers of mata rays are seen during the months of May through to September.
Humpbacks are typically seen during the months June - October.
- Dugong's and Dolphins
Dugong's and Dolphins can be seen all year round.
